Promoting Long-Term Health For Pets
At Stoney Trail Veterinary Clinic, we focus on preventive care to keep common diseases and disorders from impacting your dog or cat's health.
Regularly scheduled vaccinations, combined with annual wellness exams and parasite prevention, play a crucial role in protecting your dog or cat from infectious diseases. With vaccinations, we aim to preserve your dog or cat's good health and avoid the need for treatment in the future.
By staying up-to-date on vaccinations, you can also prevent diseases that can be spread to humans, such as rabies.
Preventive care gives your dog or cat their best chance at a long, healthy life. Our team will assess your pet's risk factors and lifestyle and then work with you to create a preventive care plan to meet your pet's unique needs.

Spaying & Neutering
Spaying or neutering your cat or dog prevents unwanted litters, protects your pet from various illnesses, and can help to prevent undesirable behaviours such as aggression, urinating outside their litter box or trying to escape your yard.
These common surgical procedures are performed under general anesthesia at our Calgary veterinary clinic.
Parasite Prevention
Parasites can be harmful to the health and longevity of your cat or dog, and in some cases, they can be transmitted to other pets or people in your home.
Our parasite prevention products can help protect your dog or cat from common parasites like fleas, ticks, ear mites, heartworms and more.
Microchipping
While collars and tags are important, there's no guarantee these won't become lost. Our veterinarians can place a tiny microchip under your pet's skin as a permanent form of identification.
Pets that are microchipped have a better chance of being reunited with their owners if they become lost.
